With every bespoke order…
…..you will carefully be guided through all aspects of styling and detailing. All of the arcane language that still exists on Savile Row today, will be demystified, where your crown, your depth of scyce and your down right will be fully explained. You will also be carefully guided by David on selecting the perfect cloth, from an extensive range of the worlds most exquisite worsteds in order to compliment your desired style, to make bespoke garment exclusive.
Once cloth section and styling details have been chosen, a full set of clients body measurements will then be taken in the traditional wa and cut into an individual bespoke pattern. The new pattern is then placed onto the selected cloth and traced around with tailors chalk, this is known on Savile Row as (Striking) the cloth. The cloth is then cut out by hand. leaving extra cloth known as "Inlay" to permit the suit to be altered at a later date if needed. The suit is then (Trimmed) with natural materials, that gives the suit its structure and form when put together by a bespoke tailor.
New client orders will usually consist of 3 fittings, which ensures the correct standards of fit and comfort are met. During the fittings, the client will be patiently guided through each process as the clients wishes and expectations are discussed. David explain each aspect of fit, to execute the correct amendments needed for an exquisite fit.
David, who has cultivated many years experience as a prominent senior cutter on Savile Row, will never try to re invent the wheel, nor pander to the assumption of a house style to convey a degree of conformity. A bespoke suit, that is entirely cut, and made by hand, is something that should only take into account the individual and the individual alone. The true essence of a bespoke suit, is that it is a one off garment. No generalised measurements or block patterns make an appearance during the suits creation, which makes every suit truly unique.
